poster artist

fell in love with some of Nikki McClure's wood block print posters. Bought 4 of them the other night at a booksstore on Allen after my friend's book reading. go check out her stuff. Lovely!

noggin

interned at funny garbage in the fall and got to work on an interactive flash animation for the noggin website. Had a great time animating cute little animals and learning flash from william (thanks william! your a good teacher). i made two giraffes dance, a zebra chase a butterfly, hearts move and give most of the characters sound effect. great fun. to see go here and click on the big box in the middle covered with squares and triangles. let it load and look around.

design/music/artist collective

lansing-dreiden seems to be design/music/artist collective out of miami. creates amazing cohesive, beautiful movies, music and publications that all seamlessly refect and interact with one another. also the members are anonymous. no one knows who they are or has seen them. there is something quite lovely about that.

love the idea and the look/feel of this video. so much information conveyed in such a little amount of time. wonder if it was done in flash, after effects or something else?

design of money

This week i was at a diner with Heath and we had laid down four singles on the table as a tip. While Heath was in the bathroom, I began to study the bills to look for differences and similarities. Was able to deduct some information from the bills such as the New York reserve was #2 in the country and called B while Chicago was #7 and called G.

Heath came back and we tried to figure out the rest of the numbers and letters, but couldn't. Poking around on the web today, I was able to find a breakdown of what everything means on a bill. Here is more info such as design variations, counterfitting and a map where the federal reserves are.

and yes, i know i am geek.

book project

just a couple of pictures of a project that i worked on with ross macdonald this summer. we made a book for the upcoming zorro 2 movie. lots of fun to work with ross and learned much about books from the 1400s. i did the inside design with art direction from ross and ross did the outside. turned out beautiful.

the saline project

my friend jake is part of this company that does amazing music videos. they just did the Like Toy Soldiers video for eminem which is now #1 on TRL. check it out here.
